Fundación Familia Alonso will fund our laboratory.
Fundación Familia Alonso has awarded our laboratory with a grant to address new therapies for the treatment of Cystic Fibrosis in pediatric patients. Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disorder mainly affecting the lungs because of the accumulation of mucus, generating recurrent infections.
The aim of this project is the study of new immunotherapies to fight these infectious events, trying to improve the prognosis and quality of life of our pediatric patients. We will perform this project in tight collaboration with the Pediatric Pneumology Department at La Paz University Hospital.
